[edit] Information

Strategic bombing was first used by the Germans in the 1940 Blitz and became the keystone for Allied strategy in World War Two. As British Lancasters hit at the heart of Germany by night, the US Eighth Air Force Flying Fortresses bombed the industrial centres by day, resulting in a round-the-clock bombardment that would not only tear the heart out of Hitler's war effort but would reduce the German morale to rumble. Rare achieve material and dramatic film footage tells the story of a controversial and costly strategy that was to be seen in operation in later years during the war between the United States and Vietnam.
