This programme profiles some of Britain's elite sportsmen and women, examining their demanding training regimes and the skills required for high performance at each sport and featuring stunning performance sequences against a backdrop of iconic London locations. The athletes featured include blind football player David Clarke, who has over 100 caps for England/GB; wheelchair rugby players Mandip Sehmi and Steve Brown, who have reached staggering levels of fitness despite having severe spinal cord injuries; equestrian dressage rider Lee Pearson, who, despite not being able to move his ankles or knees, is hoping to take his gold medal tally to 12 at the 2012 Games; sprinter and long-jumper Stefanie Reid, who runs the 100m in 14.34 seconds with her lower-leg prosthetic; and swimmer Liz Johnson, who has cerebral palsy affecting the whole of her right side.
